Thought I should write a general hello post as I have still don’t have any photos to show.  I am trying to sort out some craft fair dates, torn between making money and reducing stress.  I did over 35 craft fairs last year and when you have three young children that is just way too many (as I found out :-() I have decided this year not to do any Sunday Fairs and not to do any two weeks in a row.  When I only have a week between fairs and I need to restock I just get too stressed with everything, when the whole reason for this crafting lark was that I enjoy it.  I end up stressing that I am selling too much and panic at the thought of having to restock which is so obviously not the point. Just now I am trying to make lots of stock so hopefully I won’t have to burn the midnight oil the night before a craft fair in 2008.

So I have so far penciled in seventeen  fairs (will post dates when everything is signed and sealed) It is a bit of a challenge trying to work around everyone so that I am not away at any important points in the year and making sure mum can babysit.  This is also the point where I panic that I am doing 50% less fairs than last year, that adds up to a bit of money but I had always hoped to raise the profile of my website this year so hopefully I can make up the extra with that.  Although I don’t make a fortune with my crafting, the money is always very welcome, we use it mostly to pay for swimming lessons and the like.  Saves having to find sudden ‘lumps’ of money when fees are due.
