Crafting In Fear
Published August 2nd, 2007 in stuffWell tomorrow is A’s birthday, he will be 4, the big zero four, because he is still excited about his age I thought it would be cool to cut some number fours out of card to put on the walls for his big day. All was going well I drew them up, resized them etc. everything was still OK. When I went to cut them (on the Craft Robo) I did something foolish - I set it to cut then turned away and did OTHER STUFF. Now as anyone with a Robo will know, the noise the Robo makes when it is 100% a-okay is pretty grating but when it goes wrong aarrrgghh!!!! I have no idea why I looked away, I NEVER do that! mainly because the noise it makes is so nerve jangling that I have to watch it ALL the time. I was trying to get ahead of myself - HA! with packaging up a web order when I heard the blood curdling screech. Well I went on to do that TWO more times.
I have not been using the Robo much lately and I think it is because my nerves cannae take it captin and also I am totally aware that not currently being in possession of a replacement blade is a fool hardy act.
