The poor weary-some cardboard stands I have been using for years are definitely past their best so I have designed and built a new ‘bookflat’ stand. The only problem is that I have been looking for ages for the right clamps to stop the darn thing falling over, I wanted very small ratchet clamps and could I find them?? We have a lonely one in our shed so I knew they existed but searched all over. Finally found a pack of two in B&Q for wait for it….£14 !! yup one four. Half an hour later I was in Aldi - just browsing their offers since I was passing (honest) and what should they be selling this week…. ta da!

Not only did they only cost £4.99 for two but they came with two big brother clamps as well! So £9.98 for four teeny clamps for me and four large clamps for he who helps me make stuff!!

So if you find yourself clamp-less this weekend you know where to go.
